Who we are

We are a husband and wife team of makers using our thought and time to craft with our hands. Using ceramics and wood, we make things that bring us closer to living a family-centered life rich with simple luxuries. We live on an off-grid homestead in northern Vermont with our four small kids and are working toward a lifestyle of self-sufficiency and intention. Our studios are solar powered (and occasionally generator powered during extended periods of sunless weather.)

Our Process…

Wood

Our wood products are designed and built slowly. Meticulous detail is applied from the point of conception. Every design begins with sketching and if necessary, 3D modeling. We refuse to compromise our work with any set dogma. Our practices range from lathe work/heirloom joinery and solid wood construction to veneering and CNC routing. Wood is sustainably sourced right from our woods.

Ceramic

We create functional ware that is beautiful, but also extremely usable. Each piece is thrown by hand, fired twice in a converted gas powered kiln, and glazed from unique recipes developed in studio. We work with porcelain due to its exceptional smoothness and properties for translucency and often times hand carve details for juxtaposition.
